Tactics and Strategy:

The Tomahawk drops bombs directly below it, making it highly effective against formations already engaged by other units, and its large area of fire allows it to deal punishing damage to unguarded mineral lines. However, the time necessary to reload makes targeting individual units impractical; additionally, Tomahawks should not be used against moving targets, especially highly mobile units like Vultures or Zerglings, and it is defenseless against enemy air units, which can easily outrun a Tomahawk and destroy it.
